Happy New Year! Well, not quite, but I thought it was the best greeting for this post. I did a purple smokey eye for tonight – it’s fun, dramatic, and something I don’t do very often. The perfect look for New Year’s Eve!
I used my Morphe 35W Palette for my transition colors in my crease, as well as a base color.
I used my Morphe 35D Palette for my deep crease colors & the purple lid color.
I was very excited to use my Morphe palettes. I have heard so many people raving about their palettes. I have mixed feelings about these palettes. The eyeshadows are really hit or miss: either they’re pigmented and blend well, or they aren’t pigmented at all and don’t blend at all. For this look, I had A LOT of fallout from the vibrant purple. Like a lot. I always do my eyes before my face (so I can wipe away any mistakes or fallout before I put on my foundation). It’s a complete preference, but if you’re using Morphe eyeshadows, I would recommend doing your eyes first because of the immense amount of fallout I had during this look.
